In Brazil there are 4,800,000women paid domestic workers, 70% of paid domestic workers do not have formalization of their labor contract, being exposed to greater exploitation (IBGE, 2018).

In Ecuador there are 200.246 women registered as domestic workers. Only 28% of them are enrolled in the country’s social security system.

In Colombia there are 666.954 women registered as domestic workers. Only 39% of them are enrolled in the country’s social security system.

In Guatemala about 226.320 women are registered as domestic workers. Only 2% of them are enrolled in the social security system.

In Honduras there are 110.194 women registered as domestic workers. Only 629 of them are affiliated to the country’s social security system.
